Did you know that 90 percent of the time one of the
individuals in an opposite sex friendship has experienced romantic feelings for
his/her friend at some point.
With that being said, Is it ok to have opposite-sex friends? I totally feel its ok for people in relationship to have to friends of the opposite sex. I truly believe
that having a relationship with the opposite can totally be healthy. Having friends of the opposite sex must be absolutely
100% platonic. As women we must rely on our womanly instinct, when evaluating our spouse friendship. I'm one woman that usually rely on my intuition when it comes to my hubby female friends. Men can sometime be naive when it comes to women games and easily fall prey to single women.
If you agree that your spouse can maintain an opposite sex friendship please set boundaries. Opposite-sex friendships can have the potential to create problems in a marriage. But, if appropriate boundaries are in place these friendships can enhance your relationship with your spouse.

Here are my rules for having friends of the opposite sex:
Don’t
-Don’t keep secrets! (Your mate should know your friend’s and all time spent with your friend’s).
-Time spent with the friend should kept to minimum.
-Don’t talk to your friend about marital issues or other
private information (sharing this information can easily lead to emotional
cheating).
Do:
-Make sure your spouse is comfortable and trusting of you and your friend relationship.
-Ensure there are set rules and guidelines to follow (No hangout
at bars, no dinner dates, No meeting at the friend’s house).
-Do things together involving your spouse and friend (invite
spouse to join you and friend on a life date, etc.).
